(WLTX) — WLTX took home a big award Saturday night in the state of South Carolina.
WLTX won 2018 South Carolina Station of the Year from the South Carolina Broadcasters' Association in the annual awards' ceremony at the Columbia Conference Center.
The SCBA says a station who wins this award must demonstrate an overall excellence. Factors include station management, operations, objectives. personnel, programming, promotions, community service, public affairs, and station awards and recognitions.
Judging for the awards is done by a panel of broadcast experts that do not live in South Carolina and different judges are brought in each year.
