GASTON, S.C. — A woods fire in Gaston is about 75% contained according to Lexington County officials.
Lexington County Fire crews, EMS, the Lexington County Sheriff's Department along with the SC Forestry Commission, are on scene of a large woods fire with a structure involved in the area of the 400 block of South Main Street/ Hwy 321 in Gaston.
Officials say it is about 50 acres.
Hwy 321 is open but please exercise caution when driving in the area as fire trucks are driving back and forth across the highway.
Residents can expect smoke conditions from the woods fire to be in the area for the next few days.
No word on what caused the blaze.
