Gaston, SC (WLTX) - A worker was airlifted after being trapped in an elevator shaft at a Gaston food plant Tuesday.
Lexington County Fire and EMS responded to the on-site entrapment at the Diamond Pet Food in Gaston at 11:30 a.m.
First responders extracted and stabilized the individual, who was then flown by helicopter to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
