FOREST ACRES, S.C. — It's the "end of an era," according to the City of Forest Acres. Zesto on Forest Drive will soon close its doors for good.
The City of Forest Acres confirmed the closing in a Facebook post on Monday afternoon.
"We are sad to share the rumors are true. The sun will soon set on Zesto’s on Forest Drive later this month," the city said in its Facebook post.
According to the city, management tells them the owner is simply retiring. "We wish him well and say, thanks for the memories."
"From the food, to the ice cream treats to maybe even your first job as a kid … Zesto’s in Forest Acres has always been like an old friend to welcome you home," the city said.
As for the last day, the restaurant hasn't officially decided, according to the city, "but it’s looking right after Christmas and before the New Year."
