Powerball winning ticket sold in South Carolina still not claimed months later. The clock is ticking

The ticket holder has until early April to claim their winnings before time runs out.

CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. — Someone who bought a winning Powerball ticket in South Carolina has yet to claim their money - and their time is running out.

According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, it's been over three months since a $1 million ticket was sold at the Turbeville Exxon at 7585 Myrtle Beach Highway in Gable, but no one has come along to claim their prize. The ticket was sold on Oct. 14, 2023, and matched the numbers 14, 16, 42, 48, and 64 but missed the Powerball of 14.

The ticket holder has until April 11 (180 days from the drawing) to claim their winnings before the ticket expires and their chance at $1 million with it. Lottery officials are urging anyone who purchased a ticket on that day at the Clarendon County station to check their numbers.
