$3 million ticket sold in South Carolina; you might want to check your numbers

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — Someone in South Carolina is about to be much wealthier - but they might not know it yet.

The South Carolina Education Lottery announced on Monday that someone is holding onto a $3 million Mega Millions lottery ticket.

The ticket matched all five white ball numbers and the purchaser also bought the "Megaplier" for $1 as well.

The winning numbers for Friday were 26 - 28 - 29 - 39 - 49. The Megaball was 25.

The ticket was sold at Quickpantry #9 located at 5830 Dorchester Road in North Charleston. Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

According to lottery officials, More than 10,000 players in the Palmetto State hold tickets for prizes that range from $2 to the current big-ticket of $3 million. Just shy of half, 4,500 people, paid an extra dollar for the Megaplier.
