KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. — The clock is ticking for someone to claim their winnings in the South Carolina Education Lottery.
The organization announced on Monday that someone purchased a ticket for the Sunday drawing of the Palmetto Cash 5 game worth and it's worth $200,000. Officials said that the odds of winning this particular game are 1 in 878,399.
They added that the ticket was bought at the SM Mart at 840 Hwy. 1 South in Lugoff. The top prize would have been $100,000 but the ticket holder spent another dollar to "power up" the winnings and double the jackpot.
The winning numbers for Palmetto Cash 5 on Sunday, Aug. 28 were: 4, 16, 26, 27, 33 and the Power-up number was 2.
Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes. Specifics on how to do that can be found at SCEducationLottery.com.
