SUMTER, S.C. (AP) -- A man has been sentenced to 47 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting two women authorities have said were targeted because they were black.The Sumter Item reports Dustin Evans accepted a plea deal Wednesday, the day after a jury was picked for his trial.Evans admitted he tortured a 45-year-old woman by pouring bleach on her and raping her and stabbed a 15-year-old girl after sexually assaulting her during the summer of 2006.Evans and a co-defendant are white, and the victims are black. Clarendon County deputies called the attacks hate crimes after the men were arrested.Evans apologized to the families of the victims before he was sentenced. The co-defendant, Jeremy Sweat, was sentenced to 80 years in prison.
