Lexington County, SC (WLTX) - After hours of deliberating a Lexington County jury has decided they can not hand down a sentence in the death of a Dutch Fork high school student.
In 2014, former Lexington High School student Kierin Dennis stabbed Da'Von Capers in the chest after a basketball game between the two schools.
Dennis claims the stabbing which happened in the parking lot of a local Cook Out restaurant was self defense.
Tuesday, after more than ten hours deliberating Judge Eugene Griffith declared a mistrial.
