A 58-year-old man making a delivery to a construction site died Monday morning after a tape measure fell 50 stories and hit him on the head.
Gary Anderson was delivering sheet rock to a construction site of two residential towers in Jersey City when the freak accident happened, according to the Associated Press.
He left his hard hat in the trunk, reports the New York Post.
The accident happened when a construction worker accidentally dropped the 1-pound tape measure when it became detached from his belt.
Anderson died at the hospital.
