Sha'Carri Richardson makes the cover of Vogue

Right now, Richardson is among the fastest women on the planet, if not the fastest. Now, she's headed to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

DALLAS — Sha'Carri Richardson is already making headlines ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, but she's also making magazine covers.

Richardson was featured on the cover of the digital edition of fashion magazine Vogue. On the cover, the runner, who has often been heralded as the fastest woman on Earth, is looking straight into the camera, poised to start a sprint. Richardson is wearing a yellow Ralph Lauren bodysuit with a pair of gold Nike Air-Force 1s. The title says it all: "Sha'Carri Goes for Gold".

Paris 2024 is Richardson's first chance to win a medal in the Olympics. Her hopes of racing in the Tokyo games were dashed after a failed drug test. Richardson's test came back positive for marijuana, a substance that is still banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency code.

Dallas has always rooted for Sha'Carri. Richardson is a home-grown Dallasite. Her high school even named its track after Richardson last November, which Vogue's article mentions.

Now, the U.S. can cheer her on as she goes for gold and defends the title of "fastest woman alive."

Outside of Vogue, 24-year-old Richardson is no stranger to the spotlight. Netflix will make a documentary about her and fellow Olympic runners, Noah Lyles and Shericka Jackson, ahead of the 2024 games.

In the article, Richardson detailed her fashion sense on and off the track. Richardson has made a name for herself not only based on her undeniable talent and speed but also with her flair. It even earned her a partnership with Nike.

Richardson also talked about being raised by her grandmother, Big Momma, in South Dallas. A product of Carter High School, Richardson spoke on her early days running and how it has become such an integral part of her life.
