YUKON, Okla. — An Oklahoma state trooper's dash cam captured a scary moment when he was hit by another car during a traffic stop last week.
Oklahoma State Patrol said the crash happened Jan. 18 along the side of Interstate 40 at Cimmaron Road, just east of Yukon.
Trooper Jesse Gregory was speaking to the driver of the stopped car through the passenger side window when another car can be seen crashing into them.
State Patrol said all three people involved in the crash were treated and released, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
"We show this video as a graphic reminder of the consequences of distracted or impaired driving and the importance of the slow down, move over law," Oklahoma State Patrol posted on Facebook. "We are in the middle of a distracted driving emphasis right now in honor of Trooper Nicholas Dees, who lost his life in the line of duty after being struck by a distracted driver."
