COLUMBIA, S.C. — We're tracking which U.S. House Districts in South Carolina have been called for a candidate. Here's what the Associated Press is projecting based on votes so far.

U.S. House District 2

Republican Rep. Joe Wilson won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing South Carolina on Tuesday. Wilson has represented the state's 2nd District, which includes suburban areas around Columbia west and south toward Aiken, since 2001. He is a member of the House Republican Policy Committee and received national attention for shouting "You lie" at then-President Barack Obama during a joint address to Congress in his first term. Wilson defeated Democrat David Robinson. The Associated Press declared Wilson the winner at 8:59 p.m. EST.

U.S. House District 3

Republican Sheri Biggs won election to a U.S. House seat representing South Carolina on Tuesday, keeping an open seat for the GOP. Biggs, a nurse practitioner and Air National Guard officer won the state’s lone open seat in the 3rd Congressional District. She will be South Carolina’s second Republican woman to serve in Congress. The political newcomer was heavily favored to win the state’s most Republican district. Biggs defeated Democrat Byron Best. In her competitive primary, Biggs defeated Mark Burns, a Black pastor endorsed by Donald Trump. Republican Gov. Henry McMaster backed Biggs. Current GOP Rep. Jeff Duncan retired after seven terms.

U.S. House District 5

Republican Rep. Ralph Norman won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing South Carolina on Tuesday. The district stretches from Rock Hill just south of Charlotte, North Carolina, south and east to Sumter. Norman, a former real estate developer, has held this seat since 2017. He won it in a special election to replace Mick Mulvaney, who joined the Trump administration and eventually became White House chief of staff. Norman defeated Democrat Evangeline Hundley, who has worked in real estate and construction. The Associated Press declared Norman the winner at 8:55 p.m. EST.

U.S. House District 6

Democratic Rep. Jim Clyburn won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing South Carolina on Tuesday. The sole Democrat in the state's congressional delegation, Clyburn is also its dean. He has represented the district stretching from Charleston to Columbia, including majority Black rural areas, since 1993. Clyburn is credited with delivering Democrat Joe Biden a key endorsement that sparked his 2020 primary victory and eventual White House victory. The Associated Press declared Clyburn the winner at 10:01 p.m. EST.
