How a chart on the big screens at the PA rally may have saved Trump's life

Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin created it. Here's what was on it...

GREENSBORO, N.C. — 2 Wants To Know is looking at the attempted assassination of former President Trump from a different angle...literally.

The camera shot what we all saw of the attempt, and was positioned straight on at the podium at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.  Trump was talking and then a slight turn of his head, and the next thing we all saw was him touching his ear. A bullet had grazed him. With more shots ringing out, Trump ducked and was covered by the Secret Service.  He was helped to his feet and then raised his fist in the air, getting cheers from the rally-goers.

But what most of us never saw, was a wide-angle shot. There were big screens on either side of the stage and this angle and those screens may help explain why the former president is still alive today.

"I saw my chart in the background and then yesterday he credited it with why he turned his head--and ended up saving his life," said Senator Ron Johnson, (R) Wisconsin.

Johnson talked with CBS This Morning about the chart in the background at the rally on Saturday. The chart shows immigration numbers over the years, Senator Johnson created it years ago and has been updating it monthly.

The former president was looking at it and referring to it when he turned his head at just the right time when a shooter took aim at him.

"Serendipity, divine intervention you know,  who knows, but it apparently saved his life," said Johnson.
