CHARLESTON, S.C. — Charleston Police and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division confirm a woman whose disappearance spawned a statewide bulletin has been found and is safe.
Police said the 69-year-old woman was reported missing after leaving her home in the West Ashley neighborhood around 9 a.m. on Friday and was believed to be driving. Authorities said she didn't have important information, was without medication and didn't have a cell phone with her.
Police confirmed around 8:30 a.m. that she was found in West Ashley after a tip from a resident. No additional details were provided.
