A car stalled on the tracks in Georgia. A train slammed into it moments after the driver escaped

The crash happened just before 8:30 a.m. this morning.

FORSYTH, Ga. — A train hit a car that stalled on the tracks in Monroe County on Friday morning, according to Anna Watkins with the sheriff’s office. 

Watkins said it happened at Collier Road and Little Collier Road, just west of Forsyth just before 8:30 a.m. 

She said the driver saw the train coming and were able to get out in time. The car is a total loss but no one was injured in the crash.
