Columbia, SC - If you hate being caught in the rain, you're not alone. The gorillas at the Riverbanks Zoo don't either.
A recent video taken by the gorilla keeper at the Riverbanks Zoo shows how the animals responded. It shows a dominant silverback gorilla, three adult females, and two young males, each carried by their mothers seeking cover from the rain.
The group went underneath an overhang which protected them from the rain. But they decided that wasn't enough, so they one by one went inside.
"Our gorilla family much prefers to stay dry, even when it's just lightly raining our gorillas quickly find a dry space to avoid becoming wet," Milo Anderson with the Riverbanks Zoo told Reuters.
