BISHOPVILLE, S.C. — A former corrections officer at Lee Correctional Institution has been charged with assaulting a co-worker at the prison.
The South Carolina Department of Corrections says 47-year-old Marilyn Ann Williams hit a nurse and shoved the person to the ground back on June 27.
At the time of the incident Williams was a lieutenant at the prison. The corrections department says the incident was recorded on surveillance video.
Lee Correctional is a maximum security prison located in Bishopville in Lee County.
