Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The South Carolina Department of Corrections says they have found an inmate who walked away from a minimum security prison in Columbia Thursday morning.
The agency says 26-year-old Lorenzo Patterson was found in Columbia around 8:30 p.m.
Corrections officials say Patterson walked away from the Walden Correctional Institution off Broad River Road just after 8 a.m. Patterson was there to serve a six-year sentence on a third-degree arson charge. Online records say he was first housed at Kirkland Correctional in September, but was moved to Walden late last month.
