Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- An officer with the University of South Carolina's Division of Law and Safety enforcement has died.
"The University of South Carolina Division of Law Enforcement & Safety mourns the passing of Lt. Vinny Bocchino. This is a tremendous loss to the Division and University. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers," said a post on department's Facebook page Sunday.
The school said Bocchino had a severe cardiac episode that led to his death. He'd been with the agency since 2008.
