Columbia, SC (WLTX) - An unidentified male is in serious condition after a shooting incident off of Leesburg Rd.
Shortly before 8 pm Wednesday, Richland County Deputies responded to an incident off of the 2900 block Leesburg Rd where a male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the upper body.
According to Lt. Curtis Wilson, spokesman of the Richland County Sheriff's Department, the male victim was shot at Shagbark and Hickory Rd and then later transported to Leesburg Rd by unknown individuals.
Since Richland County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the incident, Wilson says the unidentified male victim has been transported to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital and is in serious condition.
Richland County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate. If anyone has any information about the incident, they are asked to call crimestoopers at 1-888-CrimeSC.
