COLUMBIA, S.C. — Jonatan Bernal made his second start off the injured list, working four innings and allowing one run and striking out three to set the tone in a 3-1 Columbia win over Augusta on Military Appreciation Night at Segra Park.
Ben Hernandez came out of the bullpen and threw three scoreless innings to pick up the win to improve to 2-1 on the season. He registered two strikeouts.
Augusta led 1-0 in the bottom of the third before Blake Mitchell and Austin Charles delivered RBI singles to give Columbia a 2-1 lead.
Aldrin Lucas completed the scoring with an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth.
