Things to know when going to Segra Park

The Columbia Fireflies start the 2023 season tonight against the Augusta Greenjackets. Here are some reminders if attending a game this season at Segra Park.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Columbia Fireflies’ 2023 season gets underway tonight against the Augusta Greenjackets.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at Segra Park.

News19 is ‘On Your Side’ with some things to keep in mind if you head out to the ballpark this season.

Segra Park follows a clear bag policy. This policy is like the one followed by many college and professional venues, including Williams-Brice Stadium and Colonial Life Arena.

Make sure to have your debit and credit cards ready for Segra Park, as they are a cashless facility. The ticket office, team store, parking lots, and concession stands accept cards only. If you do have cash, guest services can help you convert that into gift cards.

Once you get to Segra Park, parking is available around the stadium, including the Freed Street Parking Deck. The price is $7 per vehicle. There are also other lots nearby when the garage fills up. Free parking is available for those with disabilities. The team does ask that you do not park in nearby neighborhoods.

Gates to most games will open one hour prior to first pitch. If you can’t make it out to opening day, there are plenty of home games throughout the season, which runs through Mid-September.

The team encourages fans to check out their website to find the latest information, including tickets, game times, and upcoming promotions throughout the season.
