Another South Carolina basketball player hits the transfer portal

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina forward Jalyn McCreary became the second player from the Gamecock program to put his name in the NCAA transfer portal.

McCreary played in 17 games this past season, averaging 5.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.3 assists while shooting 48.7 percent from the field.

Earlier in the day, point guard Trae Hannibal put his name in the NCAA transfer portal.
