Coastal Carolina Looks to Redeem Themselves Against TCU

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers are headed to Omaha and the College World Series for the first time in school history.

After beating Texas Tech on Thursday night, the Chanticleers find themselves still in Omaha and Friday night they'll play another Texas Squad, the TCU Horned Frogs.

On Tuesday, Coastal Carolina played TCU in their second game of the College World Series. The Chanticleers couldn't get on the same page that night and the Horned Frogs cruised to a 6-1 victory. Pitchers Brian Howard for TCU was a big part of their success as he improved to 10-2 for the season and limited Coastal to only one run in five innings.

The Chanticleers found themselves in the scoring department in their next game against Texas Tech. The Conway squad racked up seven runs, three of which came in the fifth-inning to pull them away from the Red Raiders and get the win.

Coastal Carolina finds themselves in a similar position Friday night as it is win or go home. The Chanticleers must win Friday Night and play and win against TCU again Saturday to advance to the championship series against Oklahoma State.

Game time for Friday's rematch will be at 7 p.m. and will be broadcasted on ESPN.
