The best of the Coastal Plain League were back in the Midlands for the first time since 2007 when historic Capital City Stadium was the site of the CPL All-Star Game hosted by the Columbia Blowfish.
Monday night, the best of the CPL were at the Lexington County Baseball Stadium where the team still known as the Blowfish but occasionally the Pancakes served as the host team.
The 2018 Coastal Plain League All-Star Show started Sunday with a skills challenge and fan fest. The show concluded ended Monday night with the annual game billed as the All-Star Show which was won by the National All-Stars 9-4 over the American All-Stars. Lexington County's Connor Tate, who plays at Georgia, was named the Hitter of the Game after going 2-for-2 with three RBIs.
The 2019 CPL All-Star Game will be played in Savannah.
