FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) - The New York Jets have re-signed offensive lineman Dakota Dozier, the former Brookland-Cayce standout.
Dozier was a fourth-round draft pick of the Jets in 2014 out of Furman where he started 44 games at left tackle. He earned All-So-Con honors for three straight seasons including being named to the first team in 2012 and 2013. On two occasions, Dozier was named an FCS All-American by the Associated Press and in his senior season of 2013, he was a unanimous selection, the seventh unanimous All-American in school history.
In 2017 for the Jets, he set career highs last season with 14 games played with three starts. He has appeared in 32 career games for New York with five starts.
Dozier is one the most heralded players to come out of Brookland-Cayce High School where he played for the late Abby Bray.
