COLUMBIA, S.C. — Travian Robertson has always had an eye on his alma mater.
The Laurinburg, North Carolina native was part of the USC program from 2007-2011 and a team captain in his final season.
That was followed by a four-year NFL career and then he eventually navigated his way to coaching. His fourth stop as a full-time assistant has not only taken him to his first Power 5 job but it will bring him back to Columbia.
Robertson was formally introduced as South Carolina's new defensive line coach Tuesday, one day after his hiring was announced by the USC Athletics Department. He replaces Jimmy Lindsey who left for the same position at LSU.
