COLUMBIA, S.C. — Mark Kingston continues to add to his roster from the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Right-handed pitcher Nick Proctor from Cal has committed to the Gamecocks.
He will have one year of eligibility remaining and will bring a veteran presence from the West Coast.
This past season, the Pleasanton, California native made 26 appearances with a 4.1 era but he went 4-1. In 30 2/3 innings pitched, he gave up 27 hits and 10 walks. He had 48 strikeouts and opponents hit .235 against him.
