COLUMBIA, S.C. — The 2025 Arnold Palmer Cup will tee off in the Lowcountry in June and South Carolina head women's golf coach Kalen Anderson will be playing a major role for the Red, White and Blue.

Anderson has been named co-head coach for Team USA who will face Team International from June 6-8 at the Congaree Golf Club which is just outside of Ridgeland in Jasper County. She is the first Gamecock golf coach to be named a coach on either side of the Cup.

Anderson will work as co-head coach with Auburn men’s golf head coach Nick Clinard, who helped lead the Tigers to an NCAA Championship in May.

The Arnold Palmer Cup is a Ryder Cup style event featuring the top amateur golfers in the world. The tournament features the top men’s and women’s collegiate golfers, matching a U.S. team against a team of international players (12 men & 12 women per team). It is the only major tournament in which men and women play side-by-side as partners.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be able to join the USA coaching staff for the 2025 edition of the Arnold Palmer Cup,” said Anderson.

“I couldn’t be more excited for this special opportunity to represent my country and my home state of South Carolina at Congaree Golf Club next summer.”

In her 18 seasons at the helm of the South Carolina program, Anderson has led the program to 27 tournament wins, five NCAA Regional titles and 13 NCAA Championship appearances with a pair of top-five wins.  She has been named SEC Coach of the Year on four occasions.

A number of her players have competed in the Arnold Palmer Cup, most recently All-Americans Hannah Darling and Louise Rydqvist who competed for Team International last summer Ireland. Darling is from Scotland, while Rydqvist is from Sweden.

The Congaree Golf Club is a Tom Fazio design and has hosted the PGA Tour's The CJ Cup in October of 2022. That tournament was won by Rory McIlroy. In June of 2021, the venue hosted the Palmetto Championship which was won by Garrick Higgo.
