Palmetto State products team up for a Wednesday practice round

On the eve of the Masters, Dustin Johnson and Lucas Glover were joined by Zach Johnson as they enjoyed one final day of practice before the first official tee shot.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Wednesday of Masters Week featured the Par-3 contest which was won by Rickie Fowler.

However, a number of golfers were on the course to get some final practice in before Thursday's opening round.

One trio drew a lot of attention featured two Palmetto State natives.

Irmo native and 2020 Masters champion Dustin Johnson, who also has a U.S. Open title on this resume, was on the course with Greenville's Lucas Glover . The former Clemson All-American was the 2009 U.S Open winner.

DJ became the first South Carolina native to win the Masters and he has the game to overpower any golf course and Augusta National is no exception.

Glover is trying to get back to form he showed last summer as he reeled off back-to-back wins in Greensboro and Memphis.

The third member of the threesome was former Masters champion Zach Johnson meaning that group all featured major winners who used their Wednesday to fine-tune their game in preparation for the first major of 2024.
