Ohio senior with Down syndrome honored with first touchdown of the season

A teammate passed the ball off to Davis White, who was suited up, and he rushed it to the end zone.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The first touchdown of the season this year was one to remember at Gahanna Lincoln High School.

Davis White, a senior with Down syndrome who serves as the team's hydration manager, was honored by his fellow Lions teammates as they prepared to face off against Mason High School on Friday night. White was given the opportunity to score the Lions' first touchdown.

Together, White and his teammates celebrated the first touchdown of the season.

Players from both sides were seen celebrating the touchdown on the field with White. Smiling, White exchanged high-fives and fist bumps with fellow Lions.

Gahanna Lincoln ended up winning the game against Mason 24-10.
