Westside High School quarterback Cutter Woods announced on social media late Monday afternoon that he has switched his college commitment from Wake Forest to South Carolina.
Woods initially announced in April that he was headed to Wake Forest but a visit to the Columbia campus over the weekend was enough to swing his commitment in the direction of the Gamecocks.
He also had offers from the likes of Auburn, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Indiana.
As a junior last season, Woods threw for 3,915 yards and 42 touchdowns with just eight interceptions. He added 345 yards rushing and five touchdowns in leading the Rams to the 4A state title, their first state championship since 1969.
