One final game on the sidelines, Chad Leaphart helps the South Carolina Shrine Bowl team win the annual all-star game

Chad Leaphart spent last week in Spartanburg working as a Shrine Bowl assistant, his final coaching job before he moves into his new role at Lexington One.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Chad Leaphart's final game as a coach representing Gilbert High School was this past weekend.

Leaphart served as a Shrine Bowl assistant and helped the South Carolina team earn an impressive 24-0 victory over the North Carolina squad.

The all-time winningest coach at his alma mater, Leaphart is leaving his position as head football coach and athletics director to become the district athletics director at Lexington School District One.

After Saturday's win, Leaphart was on the field at Spartanburg High School chatting with friends and family who made the trip while also saying goodbyes to those players he worked with directly during the week. Of course, being a part of such a dominating win in the historic all-star game gave Leaphart a nice send-off as he heads into administration.
