CHAPIN, S.C. — Chapin High School's Max Miller isn't always the loudest in the room but his determination and hard work is what makes him shine.
The senior defensive end's love for football started at a young age with flag football and now he spends his Friday nights playing the game he loves with those he calls brothers.
"Going in to high school you don't really know a lot of people so when you go in there and you have a brotherhood that you can rely on and know that there's people there for you it helps a lot," Miller said.
Coach Ryan Cole said Max's hard work never goes unnoticed.
"You don't always have to be the loudest to be the best you know you can be a guy that works hard and does your job and is a part of the team that can be an intricate part of the team," Cole said. "You're not going to always see him rah rah but you're going to always notice his play which is really important in society its not always the biggest dog that has the loudest bark, and max is definitely an example of that. He's going to give everything he has all the time."
Max is expected to graduate in the spring of 2025 and tells News19 he plans on attending college at citadel and later joining the Air Force as a pilot but for now he is proud to represent the Eagles.
"It means a lot because i get to go out there and i get to make my town proud to call their home Chapin," Miller said.
