COLUMBIA, S.C. — Lucia Bailey is easy to spot on the court. She is the shortest player on the court on most nights but it is a mistake to underestimate her ability to provide a spark for her team.
Whether it's playing tenacious defense or providing timely shooting and excellent passing, Lucia provides multiple reasons why she is on the court for the Blazers.
With a 3.4 grade point average and a desire to major in criminology, Lucia hopes her college choice will also give her a chance to play at the next level. Ridge View girls head coach Terrance Gibson says Lucia will bring plenty of positive intangibles to any potential college who is in the market for a spark plug for their program.
The Blazers' deep run in the playoffs continued Wednesday night with a road win at Bluffton, putting the Blazers in the 4A Lower State finals in Florence next week.
