GILBERT, S.C. — For Nicole Kelly, being a defender on the Gilbert soccer team means she is away from the scoring. But her role on the backside of the defense is critical for head coach Michael Kleinfelder's team which is in contention for the region title.
Off the pitch, Nicole is sporting a 4.955 grade point average which ranks within the top 10 percent of the senior class at Gilbert. She plans on attending Clemson and will pursue a degree in veterinary science.
She already has a jump start on her career goal as she has interned at a local animal hospital while also concentrating on her studies and her chosen sport.
