Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Heathwood Hall basketball star A'ja Wilson has been named the Women's Basketball Coaches Association High School Player of the Year.
Wilson, a senior at the school, received the honor Wednesday.
"She has set high standards for current and future high school student-athletes to pursue greatness in a game that is rapidly excelling," said WBCA CEO Beth Bass in a statement.
The 6 foot 4 star averages 35 points a game. Some recruiting rankings list her as the top prospect coming out of high school in America.. Although she still hasn't decided where she'll play college, she's narrowed her list to South Carolina, Connecticut, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
