Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The Columbia Fireflies revealed their mascot Thursday afternoon.
Mason is a blue and yellow firefly with a baseball jersey and wings.
Team officials say the Mason will serve as an ambassador to the community, take part in on-field promotions, and sign autographs.
Officials also say Mason has a certain "glow" to him that could be seen during the season.
