MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Frankie Muniz is taking another big step in his racing career with a deal to race three times in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2024.
Muniz will drive in three truck series races for Reaume Brothers Racing, the team announced on Wednesday. Muniz will also make a start with the team in the ARCA Menards Series at Michigan.
His three starts for the team will come at Nashville, Bristol, and Kansas in the truck series.
“I’m really excited to begin my NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career with Reaume Brothers Racing," Muniz said in a release. "This year being a continued year of development in my career, it feels reassuring to partner with a program quickly developing to be a race-winning and championship-contending organization."
Muniz took a big step in his career in 2023 when he raced full-time in the ARCA Menards Series. Muniz scored one top-five and 11 top-10 finishes during the season. He finished fourth in the final points standings.
Despite his success, Muniz did not find a full-time ride for 2024.
Muniz made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut for Emerling-Gase Motorsports at Daytona in February, finishing 33rd. He's made one more start with the team at Phoenix.
Reaume Brothers Racing is hopeful that Muniz can make a positive impact on the team.
“Frankie brings a very unique opportunity to our race team in both his relationship with Ford Performance and his identity away from the racetrack," Josh Reaume, owner of Reaume Brothers Racing, said in a release. "We are excited to expand our relationship with Ford and also leverage on Frankie’s popularity to attract more partnerships and expand our racing schedule over time.”
Muniz is best known for starring in Malcolm in the Middle, an award-winning show that ran from 2000 to 2006. He also played main roles in the films Agent Cody Banks (2003), Big Fat Liar (2002), and Racing Stripes (2005), among others.
Muniz's first truck series start will be at Nashville Superspeedway on June 28.
