CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Hornets unveiled their new "Minted" City Edition jerseys that will be worn in select games during the 2024-25 NBA season.
The mint green jerseys with granite and gold accents are a continuation of the story of the first-ever U.S. Mint in Charlotte following the Carolina Gold Rush of the early 1800s. It's the final chapter of the Minted Uniform series that launched during the 2020-21 season.
The Hornets revealed the uniforms with second-year star Brandon Miller on Thursday.
“We’re pleased to introduce a new City Edition uniform to be worn this season during our various City-themed nights,” Hornets Chief Marketing Officer Seth Bennett said. “From the very start, our uniforms have been bold and fashionable, putting style front and center, and this uniform is no different. The minted story has always really resonated with our fans, and Charlotte, and is a chapter that we are proud to celebrate.”
The jersey features the classic "Charlotte" wordmark across the chest in black letters with gold trim and pinstripes. The pinstripe has a coin-ridge pattern, a staple of the previous City Edition uniforms. The shorts feature a unique 704 logo with the "0" representing the Hornets' signature honeycomb shape with "Buzz City" written inside.
The Hornets will wear these special Minted City Edition jerseys in the following games:
- Nov. 16 vs. Milwaukee
- Nov. 30 vs. Atlanta
