Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- George Glymph won five state titles in 27 years at Eau Claire High School and his most famous player is current Golden State center Jermaine O'Neal who went straight from high school to the NBA when the Portland Trailblazers drafted him with the 17th overall pick in the 1996 draft.
O'Neal is in his 18th NBA season and Glymph, who followed O'Neal to the NBA, says his former Shamrock is the same person he was in high school.
The former assistant for the Blazers, Pacers and Knicks describes O'Neal as a hard worker and very generous.
He adds that one of the big reasons why O'Neal is still playing at this stage of his career is the fact that he goes to great lengths to stay in great shape.
