A year after being left out of the party, Clemson is back in the NCAA Tournament

The Tigers are a 6 seed and will travel to Memphis to face 11th-seeded New Mexico.

CLEMSON, S.C. — On Selection Sunday of 2023, Clemson saw 68 teams fill up the NCAA bracket and the Tigers were not a part of that celebration.

Head coach Brad Brownell had felt his team had done enough to deserve a bid and various national analysts had gone on the record with that same sentiment.

A year later, the Tigers earned some redemption by receiving the fourth invitation to the Big Dance in the Brownell era. Clemson is a 6 seed and will face 11th-seeded New Mexico Friday in Memphis at 3:10 p.m.

Clemson has dropped three of its last four and in past years, that might have been enough to keep the Tigers from dancing  But some strong wins in the non-conference schedule plus a high-profile victory over North Carolina has sealed Clemson's travel plans.
