After injuries limited him during the regular season, Clemson's Antonio Williams is excited to return to action

The sophomore receiver has played in just four games this season due to ankle and toe injuries after leading Clemson in receiving last year as a freshman.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — After leading Clemson in receiving as a freshman, Antonio Williams had high hopes for his sophomore campaign.

But due to ankle and toe injuries, the Dutch Fork graduate was limited to four games in 2023. By only playing in four games during the regular season, Williams can count this season as a redshirt while still playing in the Gator Bowl.

On Wednesday, Williams was spotted at practice in a normal jersey, no green or yellow jersey which identifies a player who is not cleared for full duty.

While he is not totally 100 percent healthy, Williams says he is close enough to be able to play against Kentucky.

Freshman All-American Tyler Brown was also part of Wednesday's interview sessions and he is looking forward to being on the field with Williams as the Tiger offense looks to rebound from its last outing when it produced just three field goals against South Carolina.
