HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Former Clemson All-American and 2009 U.S. Open champion shot a second consecutive 2-under 69 and currently sits tied for 30th at 4-under par at the halfway point of the RBC Heritage.

But after Glover finished his round in the Palmetto State's longtime PGA Tour event, he returned to the 18th green for a special presentation.

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster presented the Order of the Palmetto to Glover who was joined by his wife Krista and kids Lucille and Lucas Jr.

Established by Governor John C. West in 1971, the Order of the Palmetto is the State of South Carolina’s highest civilian honor.
