COLUMBIA, S.C. — Allen University quarterback David Wright is the SIAC Offensive Player of the Year after leading the SIAC in passing yards this season, throwing for 3,171 yards. He was second in total touchdowns with 23.
Wright threw for 19 touchdowns and had four others on the ground. He averaged 335 yards per game and completid 58% of his passes. He also rushed for four more scores and 235 yards on the ground, helping Allen to their best season in modern history with a 7-3 record. Wright also passed for over 300 yards in 7 of 9 games this season with a season-high of 411 yards and 5 pass TDs in the comeback win over Kentucky State.
