GREENVILLE, S.C. — Two days before Furman starts spring practice, the Paladins have released their 2024 schedule which will mark year eight of the Clay Hendrix era.
The Paladins are coming off a 2023 campaign which ended with a 10-3 record, a Southern Conference championship and a run to the FCS quarterfinals.
Furman kicks off the season on An Aug. 31,at Ole Miss , marking only the second football meeting between the two schools, who first battled a century ago — on Nov. 14, 1924, in Greenville — in a game Furman won, 7-2.
The Rebels are coming off an 11-2 campaign last fall, capped by a 38-25 win over Penn State in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
The first of six home games is on Sept. 7 when Furman will host Charleston Southern. Furman claimed a 24-19 road win over the Buccaneers in 2022 after posting a 46-13 triumph in Greenville in 2019 in the series inaugural between the two Palmetto state programs.

After a November 2 trip to VMI, Furman will host Wofford in what will be the 98th meeting of the Deep South's oldest football rivalry which began in 1889. That victory allowed the Terriers to finish the season with a 2-9 record.
