Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The Clemson Tiger has once again been burned in effigy in advance of the annual rivalry game between the Gamecocks and the Tigers.
USC students watched Monday night as a large, fabricated Tiger was destroyed near the school's campus as part of the annual "Tiger Burn." The event is held each year on the Monday before the rivalry game.
The Tiger took about four minutes to burn down. Clemson students were scheduled to hold a similar mascot desecration ceremony, "Death of Cocky," also Monday night.
