COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina head men's basketball coach Lamont Paris strolled to the podium at the Colonial Life Arena looking very relaxed.
His team has been going through summer workouts but on this Fourth of July week, Paris gave his players some time off to relax and recharge for the grind which will continue next week.
One of the newcomers who has blended in quite well is Lexington freshman guard Cam Scott, the 4-star prospect who originally signed with Texas before eventually having a change of heart and signing with South Carolina.
The state's two-time Gatorade Player of the Year, Scott has impressed Paris with his willingness to listen to the coaches and the veteran players who are helping Scott work his way through the first month of his college career.
