COLUMBIA, S.C. — Five University of South Carolina football players have been invited to the NFL Scouting Combine which kicks off later this month at Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Indianapolis Colts.
Representing the Gamecock program are quarterback Spencer Rattler, wide receiver Xavier Legette, tight end Trey Knox, offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo and cornerback Marcellas Dial.
Rattler is coming off being named the Most Valuable Player at the Reese's Senior Bowl earlier this month in Mobile, Alabama. Legette is the Mullins native who became the focal point of the Gamecock offense and generated his share of explosive plays which elevated his status on the NFL Draft boards.
A total of 321 prospects have been invited to attend this year’s event, which will take place in Indianapolis from February 26 through March 4.
